Park Place on Peachtree Plaza Redevelopment Recognized by IIBEC
WJE received an Excellence in Building Enclosure Consulting (EBEC) Award from the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) for the Park Place on Peachtree Plaza redevelopment. The project was recognized in the waterproofing category.
At this forty-story condominium, originally built in 1987, WJE identified multiple sources of leakage across the plaza that were affecting the parking garage below. The rehabilitation project involved removing the existing plaza overburden, improving drainage, and installing a new waterproofing system. Structural analysis also guided key upgrades to the parking area.
Together, these improvements enabled updated amenity spaces while helping ensure the building’s long-term watertight performance.
Principal Chris Giffin, an architect in our Atlanta office, served as the project manager and accepted the award.
