Inaugural Intern E.D.G.E. Kicks Off at WJE Headquarters
Our 2025 class of summer interns traveled from twenty-three offices, including Honolulu and London, to our Northbrook, Illinois, headquarters for the first annual Intern E.D.G.E.—a two-day immersion to Engage with engineers and architects at all stages of their careers, Develop connections with fellow interns, Grow their understanding of WJE, and Explore the many career opportunities at WJE.
The group heard about life at WJE from former interns who are now full-time associates. They toured our 70,000-square-foot Janney Technical Center; tried their hand at concrete sounding, air leakage testing, and adhered masonry testing in our Ask The Structure Experience hands-on exhibit; and capped off the event with a Q&A session with WJE President Bill Nugent.
We are inspired by our interns and their enthusiastic approach to learning, and we look forward to seeing them continue to develop throughout their internships and into their careers.
