He performs building enclosure assessments, forensic investigations, and repair design for various construction types and systems, including architectural precast concrete, masonry cavity wall, brick/terra cotta/stone mass masonry, metal panel/siding/tile, terra cotta rainscreen, air/moisture barrier, glazed aluminum curtain walls, window walls, storefronts, punched windows, roofing, and waterproofing.
Mr. Wilborne is engaged with all phases of the building enclosure commissioning (BECx) process, including owner performance requirements, design phase peer reviews, preconstruction services, construction phase observation and troubleshooting, performance verification testing, and post-occupancy documentation. He is the past chair of the Research Triangle Chapter of the Building Enclosure Council.
